Valorant Champions Tour EMEA Regular Season Overview: A Comprehensive Look
The VCT EMEA competition this year is divided into two stages. Stage 1 offers qualification to Masters Shanghai, while Stage 2 leads to the VALORANT Champions Seoul. Success in both stages will determine the ultimate 2024 VCT EMEA Champion. To challenge Team Liquid’s reign as the current champions, teams must deliver top-tier performances throughout the domestic competition this year.
Our eleven competing teams have been sorted into two groups: Group Alpha, comprising five teams, and Group Omega, comprising the remaining six teams. These group assignments were determined through a seeding system, which relied on performance at Kickoff. Teams were placed into one of five pools based on their performance and subsequently drawn into their respective groups accordingly. Take a look at the group assignments below!

Format of Stage 1 in Valorant Champions Tour EMEA 2024
- Stage 1 is scheduled to take place from April 3 to May 12, featuring cross-group play where each team from Group Alpha faces off against every team from Group Omega in a single best-of-three (BO3) match. Following this phase, playoffs commence from May 8 to May 12, involving the top three teams from each group in a modified double-elimination bracket. The playoffs begin with a single-elimination opening round, followed by subsequent rounds played in a double-elimination format.
Group stage performance significantly influences playoff standings, with the top team from each group earning a bye to the second round. The remaining four teams compete in the opening round for three qualifying spots to Masters Shanghai. These spots are awarded to the top three teams in the playoffs. The two teams losing in the second round vie for a third-place decider, determining the final qualifier to Masters Shanghai alongside the two Stage 1 Grand Finalists.
Format of Stage 2 in Valorant Champions Tour EMEA 2024
Similar to Stage 1, Stage 2 (scheduled from June 18 to July 19) features two groups: Alpha (5 teams) and Omega (6 teams). However, Stage 2 introduces inter-group play, where teams from Group Alpha compete solely against each other and likewise for Group Omega.
Qualification for the Stage 2 playoffs considers results from both stages, with the top six teams based on overall performance advancing to the playoffs (July 15-19). The playoff format mirrors Stage 1, featuring a modified double-elimination bracket and a bye for the top team from each group in the opening round.
Stage 2 playoffs offer four qualification spots to Champions. The winner, runner-up, and third-place finisher secure spots as first, second, and third-place seeds respectively. For the fourth seed, performance throughout the year is crucial. The Season Championship points leader from the remaining non-qualified teams claims the final spot for EMEA at Champions.
Valorant Champions Tour EMEA 2024 Championship Points System
Championship points are paramount for Champions 2024, but how do they function?
Initially, Karmine Corp has earned three Championship points for clinching victory at EMEA Kickoff 2024. During Stage 1 and Stage 2, teams secure one point per match win, with an additional point granted to playoff teams enjoying a bye. Playoff victors in each stage garner three points. Furthermore, both winners of Masters events also attain three points each.
With just a few days left until the kickoff of Masters Madrid, the spotlight will shine on Karmine Corp and the sole home team, Team Heretics, from March 14-24.
