Announcing the First Moroccan Game Jam: A New Gathering for Morocco’s Game Development Community
The Digital Arts & Game Association (DAGA) is organizing the first Moroccan Game Jam (MGJ), a three-day event for game development enthusiasts in Morocco. Taking place from November 22 to 24, 2024, the MGJ will include online and in-person options, allowing participants to collaborate on game projects over a weekend.
Organizational Support
The MGJ has received support from several local organizations, including the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication (MJCC) through its Morocco Gaming Industry (MGI) platform, as well as:
- 1337 Coding School (Youssef Dahbi and Larbi El Hilali)
- Emerging Business Factory (Taoufik Aboudia)
- The French Institute of Morocco (Ayoub D., Meriem Jabi, and Mouad Meziaty)
These partners have contributed resources and logistical assistance to facilitate the event in several locations.
Event Schedule
The Moroccan Game Jam is structured as follows:

Participants may register for online or in-person participation, with limited spaces at the following locations:
- Casablanca: French Institute of Casablanca – 20 spots
- Rabat: French Institute of Rabat – 15 spots
- Marrakech: Emerging Business Factory – 20 spots
- Tetouan: 1337 Med – 20 spots
