The final Play-In Stage spot for the 2023 League of Legends World Championship will be up for grabs between the LCS (Golden Guardians) and the 4th seed from the LEC starting at 9 pm PT(Oct. 8)/6 am CEST/1 pm KST on October 9 at LoL Park in Seoul, South Korea!

Earlier this year, we announced a new format for Worlds 2023. As a part of that announcement, we introduced the Worlds Qualifying Series, where the 4th seed from the LEC and the 4th seed from the LCS will battle in a best-of-5 to claim the final Play-In Stage slot at Worlds.

While we had originally planned to host the Worlds Qualifying Series in North America, we have elected to move the event to South Korea to allow the two potential teams as much time as possible to prepare in the host region, minimize travel, and scrim against qualified Worlds teams before the Play-In Stage.

Golden Guardians will represent the LCS, and the LEC representative will be determined during the LEC Season Finals on the first weekend of September. The winner secures their spot at Worlds, while the other is eliminated from contention. The bracket that the WQS winner is drawn into will be played on Day 2 of the Play-In Stage. More information regarding the Worlds 2023 Draw Show will be shared soon.

Tickets for the event will go on sale at 2 am PST/11 am CEST/6 pm KST on September 12! Tickets will start at 25,000 KRW (~18.62 USD). To purchase tickets, visit the Interpark website.
